TexLUG-Houston provided displays and play brick as part of the Maker Space at Comicpalooza, May 12-14 at the George R. Brown Convention Center in Houston, Texas. About 20 members brought MOCs including classic space, train/town, Star Wars, Ninjago, castle, and more. Public attendees were awed and thrilled by the detail and variety in all the models.
More photos are available on our Facebook page, the TexLUG Facebook page, and member Flickr pages here and here.
TexLUG-Houston would like to thank Innovation Spark, the organization behind Houston Maker Faire, for inviting us to join the Maker Space at Comicpalooza.
Brick Fiesta was July 7-10, 2016, at the Westin Galleria, Houston, Texas. A non-profit, family-friendly convention celebrating LEGO(R) in Texas!
We had a large turnout of LEGO fans and builders from Houston, other parts of Texas, even the Pacific Northwest and Canada! There were over 200 unique LEGO models, plus a large train/city layout by Texas Brick Railroad.
Thanks to our fantastic guest speaker, Alice Finch, for an entertaining presentation. Also thanks to Kevin Hinkle and Paul Striefler, representatives from The LEGO Group, who attended the show and provided many insightful comments.
Next year’s Brick Fiesta will be in the Dallas / Fort Worth area, dates to be determined. Check back here, or follow the Brick Fiesta website, for more information.
“TexLUG” stands for Texas LEGO(R) User Group. We are a varied group of people who enjoy building, displaying, and collecting all things LEGO. We are based in and around Houston, Texas.
This website is currently being assembled, one little brick at a time. Please feel free to look around, and check back in the future to see what else appears.
